The Orange Pekoe | Ranjit Sahu

-Ranjit K Sahu

Time stands still while the color diffuses

Hot water bringing out its orange hue

Each minute the tips of tea infuses

Odors of  earth that are livid and true

Rising into the morning air  the  steam

Arouses senses to seek some solace

Night has lost its grip but stolen the dream

Giving a day where  hours maybe awless

Each sip fills in a hope for a good day

Pacifying  fears that haunt the restless mind

Each drop stimulates soul in a way

Kindling emotions that are warm and kind

Orange pekoe uncurls in the clear glass

Each leaf showcasing its color and class
